We have spent a lot of time the last four years hiking in and around the desert southwest. This last summer though we logged the majority of miles in our hiking boots in the Pacific Northwest. We realize now, it gets JUST AS HOT in the mountains, and this nifty compact filter sure came in handy, matter of fact, we used it most every day we had any water source. Great thing about most of the apps now for hiking, they also show you if there is a water source. That information allowed us to go easy on the weight in our Camelbacks, and just use the filter instead. Love IT!!
